An air compressor generates compressed air for a truck's air system. This compressed air is needed for the air brakes and, depending on the vehicle, other systems. The compressor must be compatible with the truck's engine and model.
At Philevi Truckparts, you’ll find compressors for DAF, Mercedes , and Scania. The selection also includes a remanufactured compressor. These parts supply compressed air to the braking system. Always compare the part number and connections with those of your existing compressor.

An air compressor draws in air and pressurizes it. This compressed air travels through the air treatment system to the air tanks, where it is stored for use by the brakes and other connected systems.
The compressor works in conjunction with, among other components, the air dryer and the pressure regulator. The air dryer helps remove moisture from the compressed air. The pressure regulator determines when the system needs to replenish the air supply.
A truck with air brakes requires sufficient air pressure for the braking system to function properly. The compressor must be able to build up that pressure and replenish the air supply.
Is the pressure building up slowly, or is the compressor cycling on and off frequently? If so, there may be a malfunction. The cause could also be an air leak or a problem with the pressure control. Therefore, have the entire air system inspected before replacing the compressor.
Check the original part number, often referred to as the OEM number. Also, compare the truck model, engine type, and compressor model.
Pay attention to the mounting, the drive, and the air connections. Also check the lubrication and cooling connections, if any. Compressors that look similar are not always interchangeable.
During maintenance, have the compressor, lines, and connections checked for leaks and damage. Also check the air dryer and the pressure regulator. These components work together within the air system.
When replacing the part, follow the vehicle manufacturer’s instructions. After installation, have the system checked to ensure it builds up and maintains the specified pressure. If the air pressure is insufficient, the cause must be corrected before the truck is used again.
At Philevi Truckparts, you can view and compare truck compressors. Check the part number, model, and listed condition for each product. For a remanufactured compressor, this is indicated in the product name.
Not sure which compressor is the right fit? Please contact us. Include the part number, vehicle information, and a photo of the existing compressor. A photo of the connections will help us compare them.
Compare the OEM number on your old part with the number listed for the product. If you're unsure, send us a photo or the VIN via WhatsApp, and we'll check it for you.
"New" comes directly from the manufacturer and includes a manufacturer's warranty. "Refurbished" has been rebuilt and is more affordable than "new." "Used" has been removed from a truck and is the most affordable option.
