What does a switching modulator do?

A shift modulator is a component of the system that controls the gears. In many trucks, this is done using electronics and compressed air. The electronics send commands, and the compressed air helps move the parts inside the transmission.

Within this system, the components have different functions. A control unit, also known as an ECU, processes signals and controls the system’s operation. A valve block regulates the air supply. Sensors transmit information about the system’s status. The components required vary by model.
